The Prehistoric Archery and Atlatl Society or PAAS is a small group of friends with wide common interests in primitive technology. Although our primary interests are the bow and the atlatl, we also enjoy crafts such as flint knapping, primitive fire lighting etc and, it has to be said, talking around the camp fire.

We have no offical membership system in PAAS but exist as a sub-group of the Society for the Promotion of Traditional Archery. Our aim is to be the UK resource for knowledge in our fields of interest and to maintain and foster links with the worldwide community. We keep in touch locally through the Atlatl Yahoo Group and internationally through the paleoplanet.net forums.

We meet up at both public and private events. At the public events, we make and demonstrate our own equipment, 'show and tell' various artifacts, and give the public the opportunity to ' have a go' with bows and spear throwers. From time to time, we have held events at Flag Fen, Butser Ancient Farm, Creswell Crags, Bentley Wildfowl & Motor Museum and Cranbourne Ancient Technology Centre.

Enjoy our site and if you would like to meet up with us or find out more then please contact us on the CONTACT page.
